F.L. Harris is a spirit-filled Man of God who accepted God's calling to proclaim the Gospel in 1996. He is an anointed man of God who not only preaches and teaches what he lives but lives what he preaches and teaches. God has chosen him “for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

F.L. Harris has a passion to meet people where they are by not only looking beyond faults, but by meeting the needs, which is evident every time he shares the gospel. His desire is first and foremost to fulfill the work, the will, the Word of God through his life and through each message he delivers. 

He began his ministerial journey sharing the gospel in cities throughout Texas never ceasing to compromise God’s Holy Word. His journey in the Lord brought him to the Austin area in 2001, serving in various roles, including associate minister, founder and pastor. As a man of God, his concept of family is extremely important to him – whether it is the physical sense of family or the theological sense.

Led by the spirit of God, his steps were ordered to the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church to serve as Senior Pastor, September, 2021.  Having the deep desire to reach the unchurched, he has constantly embraced “outreach to the outside”, meaning to reach the unchurched by going beyond the four walls of the church by reaching out, reflecting Christ, and renewing lives!  Undoubtedly, he serves with a passion for God’s Word, a passion to serve God and a passion serve others.  He has passionately devoted himself to theological studies. He has received his Bachelor’s Degree in Divinity and is currently pursuing is Master’s Theology. Pastor Harris counts it a great honor and privilege to serve the body of Christ and will continue to faithful strive forward in pleasing God.
